My research is focussing on Epigenetics in non-melanoma skin cancer and how mutations of Tet (Ten-eleven-translocases) enzymes are influencing DNA methylation.

We therefore will use UV induced skin tumors of mice to map DNA methylation on a global scale. We further will use cell culture models to test the effect of Tet knock-down and over-expression on global DNA methylation levels.
