David graduated in 2013 from the University of Dundee with a BSc (Hons) degree in Pharmacology.
Following graduation, David was offered a studentship within Dundee’s MRC 4 year PhD programme. Prof. Mike Ashford is supervising his PhD, and his project is to examine the role of the Alzheimer’s disease associated protein BACE1 in the function of peripheral tissues, and to investigate how BACE1 controls these processes within the context of obesity and metabolic diseases such as Type II Diabetes.
