A School of Medicine student, Alice Willison, has been awarded one of ten scholarships to attend the Munich Brain Course at Ludwig-Maximillian-Universität in Munich, Germany.
Alice, who was the only UK-based student to attend, was given a tour of the Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences and then participated in two days of hands-on brain dissection and talks from specialists.
She said, "The ten scholarship students were from Canada, America, Mexico, Switzerland, Greece and Russia. Students mainly came from science backgrounds but there were a few medics there taking time out to do research. It was a great opportunity and experience."
