This weekend sees the University's 50th Anniversary Alumni Weekend take place. Throughout the two days, there will be events on the city campus, and an open doors day on Saturday at the School of Medicine at Ninewells Hospital.
We look forward to welcoming you to our events at the School on Saturday, May 20, which include talks from some of our leading academics. Full details below:
10:00-14:00 Displays and exhibits at the Blue Carpet Area (as you come into the School from Ninewells main entrance)
11:00-12:30 Presentations in the Gannochy Lecture Theatre (next to Blue Carpet Area):
- Professor Dilip Nathwani, Academic Health Sciences Partnership - What and Why
- Professor Bob Steele and Professor Annie Anderson, Catching Cancer Early - Stacking the odds against cancer occurrence and recurrence
- Professor Chim Lang, Repurposing Drugs For Cardiovascular Diseases
- Professor Rami Abboud, The Dundee Way In Improving Gait And Quality Of Life
12:30-13:30 Tours of the Museum (11:00-12:00 only), Library, TORT, Jacqui Wood Cancer Centre, Molecular and Clincal Medicine laboratories. Please note, alumni will take precedence on these tours.
School age children welcome, under supervision of parent/guardian/carer. For tours, children must be 12 years or older.

The Mackenzie Building Car Park will be open for free parking.
A minibus for alumni travelling to and from Ninewells from the city centre campus will leave from Balfour Street at 09:30 and 11:30 and then return from Ninewells at 12:00 and 14:00.
