Professor Sarah Tabrizi is coming to Dundee to give the 6th DCAT Annual Lecture on 23rd November 2017. The lecture focussed on Huntington’s Disease, and her career as a clinical academic will be held at 1pm in the Gannochy Trust Lecture Theatre, Ninewells Hospital & Medical School, (with soup and a sandwich available from 12.30pm).
Professor Tabrizi’s clinical research interests are in neurogenetics and particulary Huntington’s disease (HD), where she has a major clinical research initiative in her HD clinic towards the identification of surrogate biomarkers of disease progression as an aid to development of therapeutics; she is currently using proteomics, metabonomics, microarray and imaging techniques amongst others to aid the identification of biomarkers in HD.
