Postgraduate Research Student Symposium

Students attending Postgraduate Research Student Symposium 2016

The School of Medicine Postgraduate Research Student Symposium will take place on Friday 9th June 2017 at Ninewells Hospital.

The Symposium gives students the opportunity to present their research, develop their presentation skills, learn about other areas of research and network with students and supervisors within the School.

The Symposium will consist of oral presentations and posters with lunch and refreshments. The day will conclude with a drinks reception and prize giving.

 

Abstracts

Students are required to complete the abstract form and return to Medicine-PGR@dundee.ac.uk by Monday 1st May 2017 for inclusion in the Symposium Programme. See Abstract Instructions below. Please see requirements below for each year of study:

1st year – Full time – max 10 min talk (to include 3 mins for questions)

1st year – Part time – If you did not present last year then you must present this year – max 10 min talk (to include 3 mins for questions)

2nd year – Full time – Poster (Poster size is A0 – portrait or landscape)

2nd year – Part time – If you did not submit one last year then you must submit a poster this year

3rd year – Full time – max 15 min talk - (to include 3 mins for questions)

3rd year – Part time - If you did not present last year then you must present this year – max 15 min talk (to include 3 mins for questions)

 

MRes Cancer Biology Students - Poster (Poster size is A0 – portrait or landscape).

 

Presentation at this event is a compulsory part of the postgraduate training programme for both full-time and part-time students.
